Obamanimation

We are neutral on the American politics. Of course we are not really, but we have to be - just so we can stay objective and critical.

But this video has some nice animations in it and we think it’s worth showing (and I’m glad it’s not for McCain)

Rapture

Retro lookin’ music video for Data. Directed by Nicolas
André and Damien Vignaux of Bisou GTI. The French
really have this popular style of (motion) graphics on
lock down, don’t they?

It’s still pornography..

Diesel created a movie clip to celebrate their 30th anniversary.

I think it’s cool.

Recognise

In some circles it’s p.c. to like Radiohead. In others you can only hate on them. But whatever your scene, you can’t front on this new video for Reckoner made by a French dude called Clement Picon. It is rather awesome you see. And was the winning result of an animation contest.

Простейший Спутник-1

There are more than 500 satellites orbiting earth. While we go about our daily lives, these contraptions are hard at work in our stratosphere. This video tells you more about them, plus the design is great as well! Via good.is

When you missed this weekend’s goals, especially the ones from the Premier League, Primera Division or the Serie A, you can just watch them on the Sport1 website.

Family Guy goes BK

The creator of Family Guy (and American Dad) now makes weekly animations for BurgerKing. Be warned! They have the same weird absurd humor.

Wow, nice promotion for the Diesel Dirty 30 party, thrown in 17 cities around the world, including Amsterdam. It’s a re-edited 70’s style porn flick.

Downhill

Forget about all those boring fashion shows or editorial shoots in magazines. Fashion designer Adam Kimmel knows how you show your new suit designs. By going downhill on a board at crazy speeds, passing cars!

Better than Prince

About two months old but I hadn’t seen this one before. The artist is Flairs and it’s directed by popular frenchmen Jonas & Francois. If you think you don’t know their work, you probably do.

Mad world

You’ve probably heard the beautiful but despressing song ‘Mad World’ by Michael Andrews on the Donnie Darko soundtrack or the Gears of War commercial. But have you seen the video? It was directed by your favourite director Micheal Gondry, who does his thing. (via Kitsune Noir)

danger zone

This music video by Midnight Express from 1983 goes all out on the effects and filters available at the time. Good thing the music is funky. Will your work look as dated in 25 years?

Come on!

At New Work we share inspirational work (and self promote?). Why spend time on something we dislike? Ok, but aside from the oohs and ahh’s, a good ol’ bitch rant about the wack stuff surrounding us can feel good damnit! Especially when you’re right, like Aaron Draplin in this promo for an upcoming series by Jess Gibson.

From Japan comes this handheld game where you have to press the stopwatch button at exactly 5-seconds. No serious. But you definitely gotta check the Flash promo video. That is one crazy catchy jingle!

the normals

I never understood the use of making 3D models of humans, in a realistic way. Beowolf in example, it just didn’t look look cool to me. This ‘head and neck deformation test’, by Liam Kemp for upcoming project The Normals, looks promissing though, and kind of creepy aswell.
