Twin Hype

Apparently Os Gemeos are Brasil’s most famous street artists. And apparently they had a succesful show in NYC this summer. Decide for yourself if the hype is justified.

Liquid art

This looks weird and beautiful at the same time. Artist Sachiko Kodama creates strange liquid art pieces with this oil like stuff.

Chanel

London architect Zaha Hadid designed the Mobile Art pavilion, which has already made a stop in Tokyo. The structure is made of lightweight panels that are packed in 51 shippable containers for Chanel. In Dutch you should say “Chanel komt hard!”

Mrs. Cooper

Photographer Martha Cooper is known for documenting New York hip hop culture in the late 70s and early 80s. She’s put out some great books on the subject, with Subway Art (with Henry Chalfant) being the most famous. Current Art did this video portrait on her. It’s an interesting introduction to her work, not for ‘insiders only’.

OMG, he will be famous in a blink of an eye! You’re welcome, Jonnie. It’s our pleasure.
