Woah! It’s only monday, but you probably won’t find a video this week more mesmerizing and beautiful than graphic designer Bruno Dicolla’s Return As An Animal. Now the big question is: what’s the technique he’s using? Anyone?

Our neighbours, Dutch start-up Monodomo, just launched a beat box app for the iPhone. Last night at WWDC09 they found Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak to make some mad beat boxing sounds. Awesome.

More reelness. Ludwigsburgs own Polynoid makes awesome 3D animations for short movies and brands alike. They have a selected portfolio on their site, but they’ve done more nice work, like this goodie from last year; a school project by one of their employees. This is their showreel for 2009.

Illustrator and toy designer James Jarvis worked with animator Richard “Kenny” Kenworthy from Shynola to direct this lovely film for Nike Onwards. Their expertises work very well together here; the motion really brings the drawings to life.

For the OFFF festival in Lisbon last week Onesize made this very nice sponsor title, including about 36 sponsor logo-animations. Note: they had just 2 weeks to complete the motion graphics.

Ok, these guys are not filmmakers, they have no design background, they do not have experience with post-production or motion graphics, they are scientists and see a lot of movies and they are dutch, hell yeah!!

An intense video for the Greenpeace Me2 project. They are “…mobilising 3 million people to join our fight for the climate, to force governments to act against runaway climate change.” Besides that, what a great editing job.

I met Mr. Probz during my visit of Surinam some years ago. Nowadays this rapper from none other place then the picturesque Zoetermeer is making some modest moves by putting himself in the picture in the States. Onsmash features the new video of Brooklyn based rapper Joell Ortiz featuring Mr. Probz. Too bad he’s not in the video, but still…

Two low budget videos that are fun and work well with the songs. First up is Stones Throw artist Mayer Hawthorne, a nerdy soul singer with humour. It’s for ‘Just ain’t gonna work out‘, directed by Henry DeMaio. And then there is the mighty Doom, keeping it stupid simple with the video linked below.

On the homepage of Vimeo this music video named ‘Subprime’ is highlighted. Under the name Beeple graphic designer Mike Winkelmann released a number of experimental music videos. He’s currently living and working in Appleton, United States. The animation was done using Cinema 4D. The music is by Nobot.

Maybe it’s an oldy, I don’t know, but I like the experience.
