When you’re drunk

This Danish campaign shows some recognizable moments on an average night out. On mouse over, a second video layer shows the same situations, but when way drunk. Clear message brought in a fun way.

Dal Bello

Sanne Wijbenga recently joined Fontanel as a guest editor. It’s so recent I can’t find him on the About page. He posted about the fine portfolio by Rejane Dal Bello. She’s a Senior Designer at Studio Dumbar, as well as a member of Post St Joost Academy, where she teaches Graphic Design and Creative Process.

LOL Dutch People

We can somewhat say topical Tumblr’s are the new viral video’s. Based on a funny truth or painful insight they can stir up quite some commotion. Cheap laughs, but hey, cheap laughs are laughs too.

Animals Being Dicks

Great concept. Animated GIFs of animals that jerk around. We all know that dogs, elephants, penguins, lions, cats, squirrels, crows, dolphins, and monkeys are no saints and we finally have this blog to proof it.

Parallax

You see more and more of it these days, scrolling in HTML to create parallax effects. The New Zealand site is one of the more innovative examples, but there are many more. Some nice examples have been collected here, but my favourite has to be this one from Nike.

New Zealand

If there where a prize for best official tourism website, New Zealand would make a good chance winning it. The website of the New Zealand 100% Pure campaign looks amazing and the information seems very complete. And the best part comes when you scroll down! (Thanks to Ruben for the tip)

Achlum

To celebrate their 200th birthay the Dutch insurance company Achmea returns to their roots; the little village of Achlum. They asked us to design and illustrate their website and all other online components. Since it’s a Dutch brand we created a super Dutch design and utilized the buildings surroundings of the cosy village.

ProSite

Behance launched a new service which could be the big competitor to Cargo and ViewBook. It’s called ProSite and you can use it to build a pro portfolio site that syncs with your projects from your Behance portfolio without ads or branding, according to this introduction video. Check out examples, like the one from Marius Roosendaal.

A nice and sympathetic idea by Kumpany: donate your own pixel, change the children’s war drawing on the page, and cable company Ziggo doubles their contribution to WarChild.

Storytellers

I really like the way Qwiki presents wiki information. Their goal: to forever improve the way people experience information through storytelling instead of search. …or as they say ‘to advance information technology to the point it acts human.’
