Again I am part of the Favourite Website Awards year jury, happy to share the winners with you: Site of the Year for Intel’s ‘The Museum of Me‘. My personal favorite of last year’s best became winner of the People’s Choice Award, ‘3 Dreams Of Black‘, an interactive world loaded with style, a Google Chrome site filled with great graphics.

Freunde von Freunden is a german online interview magazine that just released a book which is a compilation of the homes and working environments of the featured creatives. The site also offers video portraits like the recent one about the Boros residence – a WWII air raid shelter in central Berlin. FvF even offers a bit of music.

‘Nederland van Boven’ (‘Netherlands from Above’) is an interesting crossmedia project by Dutch broadcaster VPRO. Helicopters and zeppelins (!) equipped with HD Cineflex cameras filmed different aspects of life in Holland from above. The show is accomplished by an interactive map which is updated weekly. It’s December and you run around town to get all the presents. Ofcourse buying online is a good option but if you do get out and about plus you happen to live in Amsterdam than this handy mobile site is a must. Be antisocial and avoid the shopping crowds. The people behind Slavery Footprint would like to create some awareness while using some scrolling hipness on their homepage. Their survey on the other hand is raising the bar for HTML/JS driven web experiences to a whole other level though. The outcome is not as nice though.

I’m happy to share the all tan everything website from graphic artist and friend Baster. Although he tries so hard to appear in black and white, he’s actually quite a colourful character. And a joy to work with.
