I’m not really sure if this link is useful in any way but this is a nice, large infographic with a guide to housecat coat colors and patterns. If you’re expecting a sweet cat making an ass of himself you had better click this link. Alternatively, for a chubby cat who wants more food, click this one.

After their logo versions of 1971, 1987 and 1992, Starbucks will introduce an updated version of their logo this year. The introductory film hints at a wider scope, with the overall look and feel getting a tune-up.

I’m liking these six Christmas cards from six Rotterdam based illustrators; ckoe, nozzman, Robert van Raffe, Ingrid de Lugt, Jelle Pelle and Bart Aalbers.

Lovely new freaks by Jerome Castro, a graphic designer and illustrator from Paris. His design work can be found at Hellofreaks & Behance, he’s blogging at ByJerome, and if you haven’t had enough freaks already there’s even another blog with sketches of fine freaks, although that hasn’t been updated in a while.

Loving this great series “Tilt” by French photographer Romain Laurent. Make sure you check out his other work as well.

While some people are discussing peculiar trends, like the one in which Don Draper would be to blame for a male makeup boom (?), others like James Minchin III just sneak a stylish peak behind the scenes of the show.

Tasty stuff! ”Timba Smits is a Melbourne born, London based graphic designer, artist, illustrator, independent publisher, self confessed magazine whore and wannabe olympic ping-pong playa.”

For 3 years now, Stephen Alan Yorke photographs the same cubbyhole in the street where he lives. He thinks this used to be a window, but nowadays it’s blocked off. Stephen noticed that the local residents use this place to put their litter and this way it has become an ever changing art exhibition. What do you see on your way home?

Cool (kind of geeky) infographic explanation of the situation with Apple, Adobe Flash and H.264

If you were ever wondering if the whole credit crunch or crisis or whatever you call it made the banks a bit more humble then think again. If you check this info graphic by Business Management you see who still has the longest.

An extensive homage to the worst Science Fiction and Fantasy book covers ever. Think astro pilots, dragons of despair and loads of bad styled demons.

I totally missed this in Amsterdam but ten days ago was ‘Earth Hour‘. States, large organizations and individual people turn off the lights of their homes, office towers and landmarks for one hour to raise awareness about climate change and the threat from rising greenhouse gas emissions. Switch the lights on and off by clicking on these beautiful pictures on Boston.com.

Robin Schwartz shot a hilarious&sweet&human series of photographs of the relationship of her daughter Amelia and various animal friends.

Not sure how new this is, but these pictures by Lyle Owerko bring out the Radio Raheem in me. Boomboxes galore, these 80s status symbols were captured well, making them look extra fresh.

The Berlin based creative Christoph Niemann did it his way with these road map designs for The New York Times. His illustrations have appeared on the covers of The New Yorker, Newsweek, Wired, The New York Times Magazine and American Illustration.

Swedish illustrator Jonas Bergstrand has a very unique style of illustration. Really digging his 60′s style collage images and textures.

Loving this serie by traveling photographer Tom Robinson. Check out his other work as well.

If you love looking at old equipment then this place is like Six Flags. It is the ever growing collection of George Ulm, a 1930′s radio producer from Chicago and it’s stacked into a house in his backyard. I have no idea what these machines do, but with all the funky meters and knobs I would love to put a few in my house. (via ISO50)

Still looking very new new, thus a bit empty, the website New Type York is dedicated to uncovering the typographic artifacts of New York City. Old signs, building inscriptions, hand lettering, etc, as captured on camera by NYC designer James Gibson. Hopefully this will grow a lot bigger.

Maybe too many designers are making it look old lately, combining old graphic styles and photos with paper textures, stains and color burn. But some of them, like Alex Varanese, make it look so nice I can only enjoy it.

Be happy. Be angry. Be mad. Be sad! These actors are showing the essence of a character. Making faces in the lens of Howard Schatz. I believe them!

Dutch illustrator Stefan Glerum has had a local buzz about him for some time now, mainly started by his Isut HipHap flyers and Crate Digging series. His work is original, funny and simply looks great. It’s only a matter of time before he really blows up. For now check out his updated portfolio.

After thanking Canaste for setting my thunder hard new 4screens workplace up he made me aware of Hot Chicks. Yes, that sounds dodgy. But you can’t hate on a site like Hot Chicks with Stubbed Toes Making Sex Faces or one like Chicks smiling at Ground Zero. Yes, that’s some fine additions to the web, crystal clear URL’s included.

The new annual Feltron report has just been released. “Each day in 2009, I asked every person with whom I had a meaningful encounter to submit a record of this meeting through an online survey”. Don’t you just love useless but beautiful infographics.
