The app of Dutch cartoonist Nozzman was first rejected by Apple because of explicit content and iPad jokes but the censored edition is now available for free in the Dutch app store. Besides rude and gross humor, it also contains code by me and Mangrove. Hope the Dutchies like it.

Resoluut is looking for a designer to join their forces immediately. If you are, or know an enthusiastic interactive minded designer…

Machine is an influential Dutch Design agency, they have been for quite some time. Besides logo’s, flyers, posters, art installations, VJ-ing, TV idents, expositions, videos, music, book covers, books, bars, websites and vases they also make record sleeves. Today New Worker Nalden shows all 151 of them on his blog.

Joris Jansen from the KABK in The Hague has won the Steenbergen Stipendium. This scholarship is part of the Fotoprijs, the dutch award for photography students. Joris approach to photography or creating images is very conceptual but with a visual appealing result as well.

Unfortunately Hotel closed its doors. Thanks for the great stuff you’ve made over the past 9 years, and best of luck with whatever paths you choose to walk on!

One of the writers of the Turkish / English sneaker blog Pabuc, Deniz Karaman, teamed up with fellow Sneaker-Freaker Can Soylu to open up Lastik Pabuc, Istanbul’s first sneaker boutique, close to the Bosphorus. If you’re over there you better run by. Check photos on Facebook and keep an eye on the next Sneaker Freaker magazine.

Helping people is a good thing to do. Maybe it’s time for ‘I LOVE NEW STREET’ ?

We have been cleaning up and found a shiny new workplace for a designer and/or intern.

Appelsap is back in the Oosterpark! Which calls for a party. The Woodbuyers were immediately approached by guys like Pharoahe Monch, Theophilus London, Hef and Zwart Licht to let them perform. Dj’s like Benji-B, Lefto and SP ofcourse didn’t want to stay behind. All this for free! Except for those fine Löfel & Burke burgers.

After winning a webby award in NY, Dick Buschman held quite an unusual 5-word-acceptance-speech.. (and even made it to CNN)

This is the new site of Paul Rickus and Ivo Schmetz. I like their graphic work and I really like the way you can ‘filter’ their portfolio by color, size and type. But above all that you got to love the ‘Master Reset Button’.

TipSpot is an event calendar for Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht. It takes your interests and preferences into account and provides you with an instant overview of what your friends are up to. I love this tool! And I would love it more if all my friends will start to use it! If you want an invite send us an e-mail.

The FreshCotton Design Contest 2009 has been won by Bart Aalbers, an illustrator from Rotterdam, with his serie called “Hulde aan de gulden“. A tribute to our Dutch guilder. Also featured on 101.tv (Dutch).

The Netherlands has been an independent monarchy since 16 March 1815. Currently with a lady on top. It’s almost time to celebrate that fact again on Koninginne-dag. What better way to start with a party the night before at the Magere Brug in Amsterdam with shows by The Souldiers and Son 5. And yes, it’s gratis!

Alonso is a fantastic photo series done by Yann Le Coroller. No need to say more, check it out!

Great for kids: art classes in the zoo. Like 7 to 9 year olds can have with the talented Emma van Drongelen. It’s being organised in Artis, the oldest zoo in the country (since 1838). And maybe children aren’t the only ones who could use a little art education.

Charit-t. The foundation that makes you look good and feel great. The idea is simple. On this site you’ll find all kinds of cool shirts. You buy a shirt and the profit goes to a charity organisation and you can decide which one! Everyone, make a nice design for Charit-t, so you can help with some nice piece of art!

First he hated on the fact that he could draw. Not wanting to be known as an illustrator but as that lights camera action guy working among others with NewWork finest Vic on several videos. But Menno keeps on rocking sweet illustrations. Like this latest one for that other Vic’s Planet Farce, 7th of March in the Flexbar.

Nice portfolio of Timo Kuilder. A very talented freelance graphic designer. Love the simple illustrations and animation.

A promo for the only hiphop radio show in the country that’s really on point for quite some time now. With Ark boy Jiggy Djé and the versatile Venz (a Free man). Download the show each week as a 3 hour long MP3 file. And whatever happened with that Lijn5 site, my fellow NewWork’ers are not sure about it either.

Lovely new film by Michiel ten Horn, one of the directors that recently joined Cake film, a production company based in Amsterdam that includes among others Steffen Haars and Daniel J. Ashes. Enough with the promo, get your girl or comare and watch that film.

All new work by Martijn van Dam on the Behance network, like the brilliant Spektrum XL, Machtig and Chameleon flyers. Don’t forget to click the blue star at the bottom of a project to appreciate that specific design. He thanks you in advance!

Check out my latest piece of fine art, created on the 28th of November. Looks like the ultimate seeding job, doesn’t it?!

Need to give Gerbren probz for his new reel. He’s freelance now and too shy to post it himself. So if you need Motion Graphics, hire the guy!

Style gangster Joey Elgersma, and some other young Dutch creatives, got the chance to hang out with the new president of the USA and his 26-years old speechwriter. Read his story (in Dutch)..

Dutch friend Bio-Bak has gone insane and launched a pretty cool portfolio-website.

This freelance creative duo claims that they are not just
another creative team. Well indeed, that is fairly logical
claim to make if you want to set yourself apart from the
rest. Crystal clear promo one might say. Check their
work, decide for yourself. And don’t forget to shop
around at that Jarrski t-shirt shop.

Copywriter Pascal Boogaert supports his local carwash by thinking of this clever way of advertising. Of course we’ve seen reverse graffiti before, but i like the way it is translated here. Read about it on his blog or check the pics below.
