The Chip Shop Awards are an international creative awards scheme with no limits or rules – it’s all about ideas. The work need not have run and the creator need not work for the client. You can send in your unapproved or free work untill March 16th.
Today, we can witness the largest online strike in history. Sites all over the world, including giants like google.com, wikipedia and reddit.com, protest against US laws that seriously endanger a free internet. We support this massive protest, hope you do too.

HGCTT stands for (Dutch) Het Grote Collectieven Trefbal Toernooi. HGCTT is a dodgeball tournament for 8 creative Dutch collectives. The tournament will take place on the 22nd of January in Undercurrent, Amsterdam and is hosted by Yo Momma. Today started an online version of the tournament where the collectives need to score likes. All design & coding is done by Alexander Griffioen.

The champions league of film: From 1-6 november winners from film festivals and awards worldwide will be shown at Amsterdam Film Week to decide the winner of them all. Also check out the design contest at Kuvva and the trailer by me and Undog (who did the campaign).
The Dutch visual effects event VFX is aimed at animators, compositors ans colorists. And this year, 1st of November, a bunch of big names will be on stage in Amsterdam: Pixar Studio’s, Dreamworks, Digital Domain, Post Office and Guerilla Games. Pro’s will show.

We’re all so proud of Nasrdin Dchar. Last Friday at the Dutch Film Festival he won a Golden Calf for his role in our feature film Rabat. The Golden Calfs are Hollands’ most prestigious film awards. Please watch and share his inspiring acceptance speech.

Between the inhabitants and famous Formula One driver Jenson Button – to communicate the speed of fast fibre internet. And now there is the documentary (director: Andreas Pasvantis) too..
This festival of motion design & animation is spreading its wings. Together with Submarine Channel, Playgrounds will be organizing a warm up-edition on October 5 at De Zwijger. The next 2 days the festival continues in Tilburg.
Capital A is a new initiative that aims to open up the city’s contemporary art scene to an (inter)national audience. There isn’t a complete program yet - Non-fiction is working hard to launch this in September – but its never too early to start raising awareness. Vandejong will develop the campaign.

Demakersvan are in London showcasing the streamline curves and flowing contours of their latest creation, the Lectori Salutem desk. Their show is at the Blain Southern gallery 12 May – 16 July. This design team comprised of Jeroen and Joep Verhoeven plus Judith de Graauw, is known for creations like the beautiful Cinderella Table.

What good are 2000 facebook friends, if no one helps you when moving to another place..? We created a little campaign to see how many “friends” will indeed sacrifice their holy saturday to helping us move to our brand new office. Code d’Azur created a rather cool facebook app for some online buzz. Feel free to join the trail (we are aiming for the Guinness Book Of Records). Fingers crossed the sun will shine..

To celebrate the official opening of the new Momkai studio and our 8th anniversary we worked together with (food)designers Kamiel Vorwerk and Ernst Ruijgrok, the team behind Ruigwerk. For instance they custom build a beautiful bar at which crystal clear Bishkek vodka was served. Working together we created an indulging experience of which the photos show only a small part of.
