This summer Arnhem will host the 10th Sonsbeek International Sculpture Exhibition. 28 artists of world renown were invited to visualise the aspiration for human greatness. The works of art show ‘Grandeur on a human scale’.

includes people like Bill Moggridge (IDEO) and Michael
B. Johnson (Pixar). This year I’m again no big fan of the
design, the site is getting a bit more clear though.

New jazz festival this summer in Amsterdam with artists like Hans Dulfer, Room Eleven, Kraak & Smaak, Candy Dulfer, New Cool Collective, Tawiah, Eric Lau ft. Rahel, Ntjamrosie and many others. And it’s all for free!

Starting July 1st 2008 it is against the law to smoke in coffee shops and bars.” Amsterdam graffiti and design king Niels ‘Shoe’ Meulman has a probelm digesting this. Reason enough for an exhebition. July 4th at cafe De Duivel, where smoking is mandatory.

Three times a year Nachtsalon takes over a museum in Amsterdam. The goal is to get more young (adult) people going to museums. On May 29th the Joods Historisch Museum is the place to be. Linked with JHM’s current expo about comics, the theme of the night will be superheroes with a documentary, a lecture about superheroes after 9/11 and live performances.

Hotel California is the new Refreshing Sounds Session. For a few bucks you can see Jonny Manak and the Depressives perform and immediately after that C-Mon & Kypski, Lazer Sword and DreDay will create a remix which you can hear later that evening. The event will be held at Plein79, Den Baw$$ this friday!

Same old vibe, same old dj’s (SP, Edzon & Lil’Vic) but a new fresh location! This friday Appelsap is at the Westerunie. Especially for this occasion dj SP made this lovely mix which is off course a free download. If you like ATCQ hurry up and download this. See you on friday! The One Minutes is a non profit stimulating the creation of audio-visual works that last exactly one minute. Work by young directors from all over the globe. This cool project deserves a far, far better website though.
