MTV’s logo has barely changed since the early 1980s. Over the years they stopped playing as much music as the name would suggest, so a redesign was finally in order. The solution was simple: cut of the bottom part, dropping the ‘music television’ and part of the ‘M’. Photo’s and stills (and video’s?) from the shows seem to be used as the fill of the ‘M’ to change its meaning.
