Last week the New York Times selected the home of quite a few NewWorkers as the coolest place to visit. Check out their report, illustrated by local superstar Parra. On a related note, Time Out magazine recently released its first, monthly Amsterdam issue. So is Amsterdam really up there with the New York’s, Tokyo’s and Barcelona’s?

@Bart – The NY Times of course chooses Amsterdam. Rotterdam is too similar to NY – they obviously choose something completely alien… completely poppenkast. The fun thing is that most people in A’dam would love to go to NYC…. they’d be so much cheaper off to just visit R’dam – and still get the same feel ;-)

Hmmm, this item starts with international attention for our lovely capital, thus granting our tiny nation more global exposure and ends up with talks of a city close by. I think the cyclists of R’dam should be happy that they have to avoid less tourists on the road.

Come on, everybody knows the only good thing coming out of Rotterdam is the train to Amsterdam.
