Good news for all you treehuggers: Ecocho is a search engine that will plant two trees for every 1000 searches made. It’s Australian based, uses Yahoo and Google and it will use 70% of it’s income for the tree planting. The money comes from advertisers. This is a great way to feel good about yourself without really doing anything.

You say Ecocho is Australian based… its not.

It’s New Zealand based.

Kiwi’s get quite touchy when Ozzies steal all our best inventions/bands/actors/ideas.

I also got interested when I saw there was some Aussie / Kiwi confusion going on and went looking for clarification in the ecocho site (Defending our national honour and all that) All I found was that they’re based in Sydney.
